NUTRAGILE Lithothamnion Powder
WHAT IS IT?
Lithothamnion is a seaweed that grows on the shallow seabed.
It forms bright red thallus in its natural environment and turns stone-white when dried.
Highly remineralizing thanks to its high mineral and trace element content.
WHY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Its composition makes it a highly interesting raw material for equine feed:
minerals (macro-elements): sodium, potassium, calcium in the form of calcium carbonate, phosphorus, magnesium.
trace elements: iodine, iron, silicon, zinc, copper, manganese, cobalt, chromium, selenium, fluorine, bromine, boron, molybdenum, sulfur .
amino acids: proline, lysine; aspartic acid, glutamic acid .
vitamin C .
Calcium is useful for bone mineralization, but is also essential for muscle contraction.
Magnesium is involved in the body's energy and bone metabolism.
Together with calcium and magnesium, phosphorus forms the mineral support of the skeleton.
Iron plays an indispensable role in the production of hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein found in red blood cells, as well as in the production of myoglobin, the protein required for muscle oxygenation.
Silicon helps maintain bone health and the immune system.
Trace elements such as selenium, copper and zinc are involved in cell metabolism, brain function and the immune system.
Proline plays a role in the production of collagen, useful for skin elasticity, joint function and blood vessel wall maintenance.
Lysine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid are involved in cell metabolism, immune system stimulation and brain function.
Vitamin C has antioxidant properties, promotes iron absorption and stimulates the immune system.
Lithothamnion's mineral content also stimulates intestinal transit. Its basic pH (carbonate contained in calcium carbonate) makes it an acidity corrector.
