NUTRAGILE Specific Dermatitis
What is it?
Equine summer recurrent dermatitis (ESRD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that often appears seasonally in the spring. Clinical signs reappear every year, and often worsen over time. It is caused by the bite of Culicoides midges, which create an allergic reaction to which some equines are hypersensitive.
NUTRAGILE Specific Dermite is a dietary supplement containing a synergy of plants to delay and reduce the symptoms of dermatitis. It has a draining effect to help eliminate the toxins responsible for itching. It stimulates the immune system and promotes hair regrowth.
This product alone cannot treat EERD, but should be combined with preventive measures to keep biting insects at bay, and with external care. We recommend alternating local application of a Nutragile natural clay poultice with Nutragile repairing oil balm.
Why and how does it work?
- Artichoke is a powerful natural drainer, helping to eliminate toxins.
- Burdock root is used dermatologically for its depurative, draining and detoxifying properties. It is particularly recommended in the case of skin disorders and provides good immune support.
- Milk thistle is useful for improving liver function, playing a crucial role in detoxification.
- Brewer's yeast is a general tonic to support immunity and hair regrowth.
- Tormentil, rich in tannin, is known for its powerful astringent properties.
