Fly Neutral is a highly effective gel for protecting horses from insects, without the need for skin repellents containing synthetic ingredients. Fly Neutral's comprehensive formula includes a blend of 9 highly fragrant essential oils that neutralize the odors that attract insects. Of the 9 essential oils, 3 are particularly effective in keeping insects away:
Garlic essential oil: highly fragrant, this essential oil also has purifying properties.
Cade essential oil: Cade wood, from which this essential oil is derived, has long been used to repel insects. It also has a soothing effect on itchy skin.
Citronella essential oil: Citronella essential oil is highly fragrant, and owes its effectiveness to its citronnellol and geraniol content, two molecules naturally active against mosquitoes.
This formula is also available in a spray format: Fly neutral spray. The gel formula can be used for horses that are sensitive to sprays, or on more difficult-to-reach areas.
