ESC black ointment is perfect for daily foot care. It protects the wall from drying out, keeps the foot moist and stimulates the growth of the horse's horn.
It is guaranteed tar-free, with over 99% ingredients of natural origin. It contains a variable amount of plant wax (vegetable wax or oleoresin), to guarantee a regular consistency despite temperature changes.
The strengths of our formula are
Vegetable wax: our vegetable wax comes from a South American tree. This wax has a strong film-forming power that protects the hoof. It is a natural coating agent commonly used in the cosmetics industry
Oleoresin: an oleoresin is a natural secretion consisting of an essence and the resin resulting from the oxidation of this essence. Thérébentine essential oil, distilled from conifer resin, is particularly renowned for its antiseptic properties
Cod liver oil: Cod liver oil is well known for its content of essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6), but it's its richness in Vitamin A that interests us, making it an outstanding ingredient for skin cell renewal
Black ointment also contains a black pigment to give it its dark color.
