CURCUMA - Curcuma longa. Zingiberaceae family
Turmeric is a herbaceous perennial plant, 60cm to 1m tall. Its rhizome (root) is light brown with an orange-yellow interior. Discreet, pale yellow flowers. This spice is grown in tropical Asia, Africa and the West Indies.
