In Prosenior, the raw fibre components are extruded and separated so that old horses - without danger of colic - can chew easily and "swallow", and are highly digestible at the same time.
Prosenior, with 3.6% starch, is a low glycemic index feed. Prosenior is pressed into fibrous shavings 1 to 3 cm wide.
Prosenior can be fed dry, so that the flow of saliva is stimulated when chewing.
There are other reasons to feed Prosenior.
Protein-rich fodder, such as spring grass or hay, can be combined with Prosenior, which is low in protein and high in crude fibre, to achieve an optimal balance.
If the feeder is in a hurry and receives Prosenior as well as the mixed concentrate feed, he or she will find more rest while eating.
The feeding time is considerably extended.
