Under stress, the hypothalamus is stimulated. This part of the brain ensures the body's equilibrium and regulates, among other things, emotions and needs such as hunger and thirst.

Via the spinal cord and the nervous system, the hypothalamus controls, among other things, the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands (medullary and spinal) produce large quantities of adrenalin, noradrenalin and cortisol. Adrenalin enables your horse to be alert and react immediately. Cortisol keeps your horse alert for long periods. Like adrenalin, cortisol increases the heart rate, which pumps oxygen into the body. Cortisol also raises blood sugar levels. The result is more energy for longer.

Healthy blood pressure helps your horse to perform under pressure. After the competition (or intensive training), tension drops and adrenalin and cortisol levels return to normal. When a horse is under prolonged stress, levels of the stress hormone cortisol remain too high. Cortisol raises blood sugar levels, so prolonged stress also leads to excess glucose.

Prolonged stress is bound to lead to health problems in your horse.

For best results: 20 cc the evening before, 20 cc in the morning and 20 cc 1 hour before the stressful situation. Maximum 3 tubes per day.

Cavalor Take it Easy contains a high dose of L-tryptophan which, in combination with vitamin B1, can be quickly and effectively assimilated by the body. Tryptophan stimulates the production of serotonin, a substance naturally present in the body and a natural defense against stress.

Vitamin B1 helps transmit impulses to the nerves, supports the adrenal glands and has a soothing effect. We've also added magnesium citrate. Magnesium has a relaxing effect and helps to loosen muscles.
