Dermatological properties and skin care for horses

Skin Care Rekor is formulated to treat summer dermatitis in horses. Its active ingredient, Chlorhexidine digluconate, acts against the germs and fungi responsible for skin itching.

Moisturizing agents (fatty emulsion and glycerine) keep skin supple and hydrated. The product also contains natural repellents that ward off germ-carrying flies and insects, limiting the risk of lesions and superinfection.

Use for different skin conditions in horses

This treatment is ideal for summer dermatitis, wounds, chapped skin, scabs, mud scabbing and sun allergies. It can also be applied to the chapped udders of nursing mares, as well as to small lesions caused by irritation or insect bites.

Skin care composition

Chlorhexidine digluconate (active ingredient), Glycerine (moisturizing agent). The product contains no prohibited substances and is formulated exclusively for horses and equines.

Storage and preservation

Do not combine with iodine-based products. Keep frost-free to preserve active properties.

Application and treatment of summer dermatitis

Apply 1 to 2 times a day, depending on the severity of lesions. Two possible methods: direct spraying or application with a damp sponge. Do not rinse after application.

For mud mange on cannons, spray directly or wrap limbs with absorbent cotton soaked in product, then bandage and leave on overnight. Repeat the operation until the scabs have completely disappeared, i.e. 3 to 5 days. This regular protocol helps limit recurrences in sensitive horses.
