The olive bit has oval-shaped rings. They only rotate along one axis of rotation, which prevents pinching of the corner of the mouth. 

The double snaffle bit allows a better relaxation of the horse's mouth by a smooth transmission of the commands. Indeed, unlike the single bit which acts on the palate which is a sensitive part of the horse's mouth, the double bit acts on the tongue without causing pain.
