DANDELION - Taraxacum Officinalis.
Compositae family Dandelion is a perennial common in Europe in meadows, fields and roadsides. Yellow flowers are visible from May to November. Also known as lion's tooth, dandelion is rich in iron, calcium, manganese, Vit C and D, fatty acids and antioxidants.
Components: bitter principles (taraxacin), triterpenes, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, phenolic acids, coumarins, choline, mucilage, carotenoids, flavin in flowers, inulin in roots harvested in Europe.
