Fucaceae family Rockweed is a green algae in its fresh state, which turns brown as it dries. Rockweeds are widespread on the rocky coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, mainly in cold waters. Rockweed is a seaweed that is a source of many vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Traditionally used during fatigue and difficult moulting and in older horses. Components: Trace elements (iodine, copper, chromium, zinc, selenium, iron), vitamins, mineral salts, mucilages, polyphenols. Marine algae, plants rich in nutrients that restore vitality to horses : Due to their natural richness in numerous vitamins, minerals and trace elements, seaweed is recommended to restore vitality to tired organisms.
They are therefore particularly suitable for older horses or during difficult moulting periods. Seaweed, naturally rich in iodine, is an interesting supplement in case of endocrine disruption (cushing syndrome for example). Marine algae is also a source of alginate, an anti-acid substance designed to counter the effects of gastric reflux.
